The Bender ISOMETER® isoCHA425-D4-4 is an industrial insulation monitoring device specifically designed for unearthed DC systems and electric vehicle DC charging stations. It continuously monitors insulation resistance in DC charging infrastructure and helps identify insulation faults before they can compromise the safe operation of the charging system.
The isoCHA425 is designed for CCS and CHAdeMO DC charging applications, covering CCS systems from DC 0 to 400V and CHAdeMO systems from DC 50 to 400V. The device monitors insulation resistance and can detect both asymmetrical and symmetrical insulation faults according to the configured operating mode.
For enhanced system monitoring, the device measures system voltage using True-RMS technology, provides undervoltage and overvoltage detection, and measures the DC voltages between the positive/negative conductors and protective earth. Configurable alarm thresholds, delay settings, LED indicators, LC display and relay outputs provide flexible fault monitoring for charging equipment.
The integrated galvanically isolated RS-485 interface supports Bender Measurement Device Interface (BMS), Modbus RTU and IsoData communication, making the device suitable for integration into industrial automation and EV charging monitoring systems.
The isoCHA425-D4-4 is therefore well suited for DC fast-charging stations, EV charging infrastructure, charging cabinets and industrial DC IT systems where continuous insulation monitoring is required.
