The KEYENCE CV-5001P is a professional digital image sensor and vision controller from the KEYENCE CV-5000 Series, engineered for demanding industrial machine-vision inspection applications. It combines high-speed DSP image processing with extensive measurement, inspection, communication and control capabilities.
The controller supports up to two compatible colour or monochrome cameras, allowing simultaneous or individual image capture. It supports resolutions up to approximately 310,000 pixels, depending on the connected camera and operating mode.
The CV-5001P provides a broad range of inspection tools, including pattern search, V-search, ShapeTrax2, edge position, edge counting, blob analysis, stain detection, flaw detection, intensity inspection, colour measurement, geometry calculations and OCR. These functions make it suitable for automated inspection of components, assemblies, markings, dimensions and surface defects.
For industrial integration, the controller features Ethernet 100BASE-TX/10BASE-T, RS-232C and USB 2.0 High-Speed communication, along with extensive digital I/O. It also supports PLC link, optional CC-Link and EtherNet/IP connectivity depending on the configuration and expansion hardware.
