The KEYENCE KV-MC40V 4-Axis Pulse Train Positioning Motion Control Module is a high-performance positioning and motion unit designed for precise multi-axis motion control within KEYENCE KV-series PLC systems. It provides control of four physical axes plus one virtual axis and supports pulse-train positioning with a maximum output pulse frequency of 4 MHz.
The KV-MC40V uses differential line-driver pulse output and allows selection between 1-pulse, 2-pulse and A/B-phase output methods, providing flexibility for connecting compatible motion and positioning equipment. Its 1.0 ms control period enables responsive positioning control for industrial automation applications.
Advanced motion functions include absolute and relative positioning, straight-line interpolation, arc interpolation, helical interpolation, JOG operation, inching, teaching, origin return and sensor positioning. Acceleration and deceleration can be configured using straight-line, SIN or Bezier curves.
The module can be programmed using ladder programs and Motion Flow, with support for up to 32 motion flows and 256 blocks in total. It also provides extensive diagnostic and data-backup functions, making the KV-MC40V suitable for machine automation, servo positioning, assembly equipment, material handling and other precision motion-control applications.
